When your life is a hot mess at twenty, it’s cute. At twenty-seven…well, not so much.

It’s just that my lofty dreams—making it as a real estate agent, paying rent on time, showering daily—have stayed just that: dreams. Oh, and love? I’ve decided love might be a little ambitious for me at the moment. Instead, I’ve settled for the two guys who will never leave me: Ben & Jerry.

That is, until Dr. Adam Foxe takes up residence as the town’s new vet.

With his strong jaw, easy confidence, and form-fitting scrubs, it’s not long before every housewife in Hamilton is dragging neglected tomcats in for weekly checkups.

Like everyone else, I’m intrigued. Even after I spoil my chance at a good first impression, he still offers me a proposition I can’t refuse: play his girlfriend at a family function and he’ll hire me as his real estate agent. Welcome to love in the 21st century.

It’s too bad I underestimated Adam’s irresistible charm and the undeniable attraction that burns between us. The day he pins me to the wall and silences me with a kiss, the line between reality and ruse begins to blur. Every teasing touch brings me to my knees. Every kiss promises more.

It looks like my hot mess of a life is about to get a little hotter.

I follow his gaze to where my dress has ridden up. When I’m standing, it’s a modest length, but the leather seats in his Audi have hiked up the skirt and a few inches of my thighs are now on perfect display.

His gaze drags down, pausing on my lips for a moment before he trails down my neck and chest. He’s studying my dress—no, he’s studying my body beneath the fabric. His smile is slow to spread, a little haunting…sexual.

To save her mother’s life, Clary must travel to the City of Glass, the ancestral home of the Shadowhunters – never mind that entering the city without permission is against the Law, and breaking the Law could mean death. To make things worse, she learns that Jace does not want her there, and Simon has been thrown in prison by the Shadowhunters, who are deeply suspicious of a vampire who can withstand sunlight.
As Clary uncovers more about her family’s past, she finds an ally in mysterious Shadowhunter Sebastian. With Valentine mustering the full force of his power to destroy all Shadowhunters forever, their only chance to defeat him is to fight alongside their eternal enemies. But can Downworlders and Shadowhunters put aside their hatred to work together? While Jace realizes exactly how much he’s willing to risk for Clary, can she harness her newfound powers to help save the Glass City – whatever the cost?

Love is a mortal sin and the secrets of the past prove deadly as Clary and Jace face down Valentine in the third installment of the New York Times bestselling series The Mortal Instruments.

My Review:
I’m surprised it took me such a short time to read this, I honestly flew through City of Glass, unlike City of Bones and City of Ashes, which I lagged through.
SO much happens in this book, and my mind is still swirling trying to make sense of everything. The one thing that frustrates me the most, was that I had no idea who Jace really was, his last name, and who’s son he really was. I forgot a lot of small spoilers I got a while back, so I didn’t give it much thought, and when I finally found out, I was kind of shocked. I mean, I knew something about Clary and Jace, my mom spoiled me that much, as she did that Simon was a Vampire for book 2. But, still, I was so glad to finally get answers to the MANY questions I had. I was also glad that Alec stepped up with Magnus, I hope to see more of the in the next 3 TMI books. I feel like there’s too much insta-love, and although I do love it, I want to see some growth!

I found the Sebastian character (I won’t say his real name, for spoilers sake) shady from the start, and it’s terrible, what he did… I could never look past that. I think some people do, in the future books, I can’t remember, I just know his name was mentioned in a BookTube video about the TMI series.IMG_0853.JPG
It made me really happy that all the Downworlders were reasonable, especially the Night Children, kudos to you!

I was thanking the gods that there was no love triangle, so glad that terrible part was over and done with in the second book. I was annoyed by Jace and Clary’s… relationship at first, but overtime I am really liking them together, what a great duo.

Also, I started by listening to the audio, but what the Narrator voiced the Inquisitor, Aldetree, it was so bad and it annoyed me so much, I immediately stopped it and continued reading it. It was awful, sorry, but it was.

Lastly, let’s talk about Valentine. I felt pity for him, also hatred, and even some confusion. His affection for a child not of his blood, but that he raised, and hatred for a child of his blood, that he never even knew, and never would get to know. He was a crazy and psychotic guy, with a disastrous image for a future for the Shadowhunters. I’m not really sad to see him go, although I’m now curious who the villain/s will be in the final 3 books.

That’s my thoughts, fresh as I have just put the book down. I really loved this book, it was so much better than the first two, it’s given me a new look at the Shadowhunter series, and I’m so excited to continue. Now I’m going to try and process everything… again.

From Kiera Cass, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Selection series, comes a sweeping stand-alone fantasy romance.

A girl with a secret.
The boy of her dreams.
An Ocean between them.

Years ago, Kahlen was rescued from drowning by the Ocean. To repay her debt, she has served as a Siren ever since, using her voice to lure countless strangers to their deaths. Though a single word from Kahlen can kill, she can’t resist spending her days on land, watching ordinary people and longing for the day when she will be able to speak and laugh and live freely among them again.

Kahlen is resigned to finishing her sentence in solitude…until she meets Akinli. Handsome, caring, and kind, Akinli is everything Kahlen ever dreamed of.

Falling in love with a human breaks the Ocean’s rules. But for the first time in a lifetime of following the rules, Kahlen is determined to follow her heart.Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetMy Review:

This is the first book i’ve read by Kiera Cass, and I LOVED IT! Although, I was really wary about reading it with all the controversy going around about Cass’s Selection Series. Also read this for my book club: The Court of Books and Readers !

I started this book knowing very little about it, only that it was originally written in 2009 and this is the version that didn’t make it in the traditional publishing version and she decided to give the story a second chance, releasing the new version January 26th 2016. From the beginning, I was completely hooked on this unique story and the characters!

If you’ve read The Illiad and the Odyssey (or have heard about Sirens), then you may know that the mythical Sirens are deadly beautiful singers of the Ocean, originally known for luring men to their death. Although it’s not completely true for this books, Sirens are deadly singers of the Ocean, but their voice is the only deadly thing about them. In order for the Ocean to live, She must feed, so the Sirens sing their for Her.

It begins with Kahlen, going about what her life looks like as a human and how she became a Siren. You will find out all through out the book about what a Siren really is, and how their live’s will work. They’re beautiful, they cannot age, they cannot get sick, but they can life a semi-normal life, as long as they’re careful not to speak, or make a single sound, within a certain distance of humans. There can only be four sirens at a time, if more it would bring too much attention, and if less it could all go wrong. Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 presetThey are also under a 100 year sentence for the Ocean, serving them for a century until their duty is done and they can continue the rest of their lives as a human — but, they will not remember a single thing about their past, as a human or as a siren. It’s like a new life for them.

Of course, there are guidelines, The Ocean does not take mothers or wives and only takes daughters, that way they will only serve Her, and nothing could interfere with their tasks to keep Her alive. You’ll of course have to read how they help feed the Ocean, seriously.

Now, Not all Sirens complete their century of sentences, if they are disobedient or are in danger of spilling the Ocean and Sirens secrets, then the Ocean will end their life. The story and situations sound cruel, and I thought it was malicious within the first few chapters but then started to understand the Ocean a little more, and could see She

really loved for her children, the Sirens. She did have a favorite Siren, she was the only one to accept the Ocean, and to come to Her on her own, to talk to Her; that was, until she met him.

With only their “sisters” for company, it can sometimes get lonely, and for Kahlen, it seems to deepen. The Ocean has compassion for her, as does her Sisters, but with every death, with ever song, with every year, she still has the nightmares. Sirens don’t have to sleep or eat to survive, but Kahlen does both, she doesn’t want to lose what she used to be.

With only 20 years left to Kahlen’s sentence, something remarkable seems to happen. A human boy talks to her, and finds comfort in her silence, accepting it, and still wanting to talk to her. Once she realized her feelings for this boy, she flees, and she has to drag her sisters with her, hiding this secret in fear the Ocean will find out. This won’t be the only time they meet, know that.

Kahlen becomes close with Aisling, the oldest sister, just before she has to leave, finally getting to continue her life as a human at the age she was frozen to, but not before telling her how she copes with the loneliness, and spilling her deepest secret she’s been hiding. They all say hello to a new sister and say goodbye to another sister.Processed with VSCOcam with hb1 preset

Kahlen, Miaka, Elizabeth, and newly sister Padma, continue serving the Ocean, but not so easily, there’s a lot these sisters go through, and a lot that the Ocean goes through, as her eldest, and favorite, is slipping from Her grip. This story is about love, love between sisters, strangers, family, and love to yourself, it’s a story with reading.

I will say that even though I absolutely loved this book so much, I kind of assumed what would happen in the end, and guessed what happened before that, it seemed expected, which is why i deducted .5 from the rating.

I can’t say more without spoiling anything major, but definitely check this book out! If you didn’t like the Selection series, have no fear, this Stand Alone Contemporary YA is amazing, Don’t push away an author based on one series, give them a second chance!

I thought I’d left Blackwater, Texas behind for good. I didn’t belong in the small town, but my dad wouldn’t listen. He dragged me back home in his beat-up truck and dropped a bomb along the way: Chase Matthews was moving in with us. He was the golden boy of my high school, my former best friend, and the last person I wanted sleeping across the hall. His presence was too great a reminder of the ghosts I was trying to forget.

I didn’t ask for a hero. I don’t want to be saved.

To me, Lilah Calloway meant late nights sneakin’ out, moonlit hair, and sparklers in July. She was my best friend until the day she left and I’d assumed Blackwater had seen the last of her. Then, like a tempest, she rolled back into town for the final half of senior year. The chopped hair and dark devil-may-care attitude warned most people away, but I knew if I fought hard enough, I could find the lost girl.

I didn’t want to be her hero. Some girls don’t need to be saved.

My Review:

ARC provided by the Author in favor of an honest review.

WHERE DO I EVEB BEGIN? I have this storm of emotions in my body and they’re screaming to be heard. I smiled, laughed, yelled, grunted, and definitely cried whilst reading this beautiful work by the lovely Rachel.CY5beh1WcAQLlOw

I knew I would love this book for many reasons. 1. It was by my favorite R.S. Grey; 2. The synopsis and prologue was enough to make you go wild with anticipation to read it all. This book is unlike anything Rachel has written in previous books. Although her previous books do hold real-life problems and dilemmas, they’re mostly romantic comedies, books that make your stomach hurt from laugher, and eyes pop out from the dreamy lead male characters, but they do not compare to this.

I’ve learned to collect secrets one by one because secrets are flames and no place deserves to burn more than my small town.” – Prologue of Chasing Spring.“I love secrets and i’m good at finding them. For the least two years,

Chasing Spring has been a work in progress for two and a half years, and as Rachel said, the story has been through different versions and dozens of drafts. I first started this book in a rush of busy work days and starting class, but as I write this, picking the book up Teaser 2from where I left off at chapter three, i finished the entire book, left numb for a few moments before the emotions just hit me like a rock. When I enjoy a book, I put my entire mind and heart into it, and read until my eyes won’t stay open, and that’s just what I did. I have to get up in 5 hours for work but here I am writing this while my thoughts are still fresh.

Before I start talking about the book, I want to talk about how Rachel’s writing is always easy to read through, it flows perfectly and is worded just the right way. I was hooked from the prologue up until the last word, and still wishing there was more to the story. The ending was so beautiful, I can’t even put it into words, but it was a great way to end begin a story.

Now, let’s talk about the book.

I cried, a lot, while reading this book. I felt really sad when reading some parts of this book, and was always rooting for Lilah. There’s a lot of darkness in Lilah’s life, and she’s haunted by her past. Lilah Calloway had to return to Blackwater, Texas for the last semester of her senior year. Coincidentally, her childhood best friend Chase Matthews is moving into her house with her dad because of his drunken father. They ended things roughly before she left to live with her Aunt in Austen, but it doesn’t take long before Chase has broken through the wall of Lilah’s life. Lilah has a thing for secrets, she wants to know everyone’s secrets, she finds them interesting and helps her realize that not everyone have perfect lives. Her life is shattered back to reality when the past is ripped open again, and she’s forced to face the truth. Lila and Chase don’t have it easy, she wasn’tTeaser 1 looking for an angel, and he wasn’t looking to be her hero, but some things just happen.

“Which little white pill makes a mother forget her dautgher?”

A lot of people have demons on the inside, refusing to let other people see, but some are just the opposite, showing only their demons while refusing to show people who they really are. This is a story about two teenagers trying to figure their life out, and trying to forgive and stop being angry at ghosts of the past. A story you don’t want to miss.

“We’d forever be moving in opposite directions- after all, he was the golden boy, and I was the lost girl.”

Lilah and Chase go through a lot together, especially with their dark past and their families tie together that will forever be in their history. Lila refuses to get close to Chase, afraid of what will happen if she does, but Chase doesn’t care, he’s always cared for lilac and always will. In the last semester of their High School life, and life at Blackwater, they will decide if they’re worth having a happy middle.CY5bepiWMAAB2dI

Rachel Grey, I salute you and your incredible mind for writing such a beautiful and dark story, I couldn’t stop crying and smiling at the same time, and i’m glad you decided to publish Chasing Spring. I’m also thankful to have received an early copy, and that I got the chance to read Lilah and Chase’s story.

I recommend this book to any and everyone, It’s officially my favorite book by Rachel and if I could give it 6 stars, then I would. Go online and buy it!

“I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things…everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things funny. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.”

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Since it’s the New Year, I thought I would share my favorite books and authors of 2015, as well as share what books i’m excited for in 2016! This post will probably be all over the place, but… oh well!

I thought I would list all of the books I rated a solid 5 stars from the beginning of the year to the end, and then go on to explain some of them with reasons why I loved it and if I recommend (obviously yes if it’s 5 stars).

Anna and the French Kiss, Lola and the Boy Next Door, and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before were such cute and fluffy reads that I couldn’t help but love. They included cute boys, and adorable and lovable main characters such as Anna, Lola, and Lara Jean that you connected with in some way, or wished you were as lucky as them girls. Lola was my favorite of the three, She was spunky and spontaneous, and knew what she wanted and who she wanted to be, I admired that, and I loved thinking of what she looked like in her outfits. She’s definitely someone you’d want to be friends with.

Hopeless and Ugly love by Colleen Hoover were books that put me in a huge slump due to their emotional storyline. Yes, thankfully they ended on a good note, but the roller coaster ride from beginning to end was pure torture. I thought I was going to end up swimming in an ocean of my own tears. I definitely recommend though, because these books are so real. They have something that hooks you immediately, and you’re in love, addicted, and definitely hurt. *laughs hysterically until it turns to fits of tears*

The Allure of…. Julian Lefray and Dean Harper by R.S Grey. These two books can be read in any order. They are connected, just as the Anna and the French Kiss series is. If you read Dean Harper, then you won’t be spoiled on too much from Julian Defray, only on how it ends. (but i do suggest you read Julian Lefray and then Dean Harper). I am in love with these books, and especially the characters. Josephine and Lily are the females of the books, and they both run their own blog. Josephine runs a fashion blog, while Lily runs a food blog… hm, does that remind you of something. Oh! I run a book blog… I wonder if i’ll ever have a story like them, making it big in a big city like New York with my boyfriend as my boss… although, there was a lot of struggles in the middle of the books, such as he boys trying to figure out their complicated feelings. Boys, tsk tsk.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings, they’re sort of fantasy dystopian books. They are both about different worlds, and how it’s all different because of someone running the new world. Red Queen is one of my favorite fantasy books of 2015, especially of that shocking betrayal that I should’ve seen coming, and I was on the bad guys team for a short while…. shame on me! The Murder Complex is a gory world, and confusing until Meadow and Zephyr not only fall for each other, but find out the truth behind all of it. (The second book to TMC is The Death Code, check this series out!)

Who Do You Love by Jennifer Weiner was sent to me from Atria Books, and I’m so glad they did because I loved this story so much! It’s about a love story between two people, they fell in love as teenagers, and their story continues through many struggles and gaps until many many years later they meet again. It’s so cute, I definitely recommend for Young Adults/ New Adults as this is a NA Romance.

Binge by Tyler Oakley is one of my favorite members of this year! I was laughing my ass off so much when listening to this (because I listened to the audible version because it’s 10x more better listening to tyler), and I was even close to tears at some point. Matthew Tyler Oakley has opened his deepest secrets for all his fans, and anyone actually, and it’s so inspiring and even helped me when I was in a huge rut, so, thank you Queen Tyler for helping me smile and laugh like crazy! (I would not recommend this book for younger viewers as there is a lot of swearing and sex talk, just saying. Although, if you’ve watched more than five videos of Tyler’s… then go ahead and read it!)

Tokyo Ghoul by Sui Ishida was the first Manga i read, and I’m glad to wrap up 2015 with it. I enjoyed not only the Art, but also the Paranormal and Horrific story of the Tokyo Ghouls and college student Kenaki. There’s an anime of Tokyo Ghouls, but everyone is saying it’s completely different from the Manga, either way, I’m excited to continue reading the Tokyo Ghoul manga series.

Next, I will list three books that I am excited for in 2016, as well as talking about them.

Synopsis: I thought I’d left Blackwater, Texas behind for good.

‘I didn’t ask for a hero. I don’t want to be saved.’

‘I didn’t want to be her hero. Some girls don’t need to be saved.’

Synopsis: Mare Barrow’s blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.

The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince—the friend—who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: she is not the only one of her kind.

Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.

But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.

Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?

Synopsis: A fighter dedicated to saving humankind from dragons in strictest secrecy.

That was what Garret Xavier Sebastian thought he was part of as a soldier of the Order of St. George. What he learned from a fiery dragon hatchling twisted all he believed in and set him on a collision course with certain death-but not without a chance to put things right.

Betrayed and on the run again, Ember and rogue dragon Riley discover an unthinkable truth about Talon and St. George. They’ll need Garret’s skills and insider knowledge of the Order to negotiate an impossible deal-and if they fail, there will be no way to stop all-out war.

So, Those are all of my favorite books of 2015, and all the books that I am excited to come out in 2016! I hope you enjoyed this post, and make sure to follow/subscribe to my newsletters for updates on when I post next!

Goodreads Synopsis: Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she’s only interested in his body—eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own.

My Review:

I’ll start by saying this is the first ever Manga novel that I have read, and i’m both surprised and relieved that I enjoyed this so much, I have it five stars. There were some points where I just stared at the amazing artwork, because it’s so good. That’s the main reason (obviously) that I love Manga/Comics so much, the art! Also, don’t laugh that it took me five minutes to figure out you had to read it from right to left instead of right to left, I’m such a fail! *facepalms*

I thought that the story was overall interesting, especially since immediately it started out talking about the Ghouls in Tokyo, and how there was a human found dead with some Ghoul blood, and I was really intrigued by how the Ghouls look. THEY LOOK SO COOL WITH THE RED EYES!! Anyways, Tokyo Ghoul is about shy College StudCXlXgt2UoAA3f34ent
Ken Kaneki who finds himself on a date with a girl he’s had a crush on, they shared many interests in books and he thought it was just fate, or luck. Little did he know, what she was, and what her intentions were. THINGS GO DOWN! Kaneki waked up in the hospital with an organ transplant that has completely changed his life forever. He thinks it’s for the worse, and even tried fighting it, distancing himself form his best friend since elementary, Nagachika. I’ll also add, Kaneki used his knowledge of a book he recently read, two actually, and used that knowledge to help his… umm… situations that he were in.

Nagachicka is the kind of friend who is always loyal, who always looks out for you, and always pays attention. Nagachicka noticed things about Kenaki that he didn’t even notice in himself, that’s when you know you’ve got a good friend. It broke my heart when Kenaki almost hurt Nagachicka, in a way that cannot be revered or forgotten, luckily Touka came to the rescue.

Touka is a waitress from the beginning of the book, she is also a Ghoul. People seem to really love Touka, and I don’t know much yet but I’m excited to know her story and get to know her character more. Touka also helps Kenaki, because maybe being in both worlds isn’t as bad as Kenaki is thinking, maybe it’s a chance of a lifetime.

Ahh, I’m already looking forward to the next three volumes of Tokyo Ghoul, which i’ve always ordered, and am excited to know more about the Ghoul history and how they are in the Present. It’s so exciting. Overall, I would say this is a successful start to my Manga collection.

Goodreads Synopsis: Pop-culture phenomenon, social rights advocate, and the most prominent LGBTQ+ voice on YouTube, Tyler Oakley brings you his first collection of witty, personal, and hilarious essays.

For someone who made a career out of over-sharing on the Internet, Tyler has a shocking number of personal mishaps and shenanigans to reveal in his first book: experiencing a legitimate rage blackout in a Cheesecake Factory; negotiating a tense standoff with a White House official; crashing a car in front of his entire high school, in an Arby’s uniform; projectile vomiting while bartering with a grandmother; and so much more. In Binge, Tyler delivers his best untold, hilariously side-splitting moments with the trademark flair that made him a star.

* this book may not be acceptable to younger readers since it includes adult contents.

My Review:

If you’ve been following me on Instagram or Twitter then you know i’ve been in a really depressing book slump for the past few months so i’ve decided to listen to Tyler Oakley’s new book Binge, narrated by the queen himself. Saying I loved it is definitely an understatement. It was phenomenal! Tyler, you’ve not only booted my sad emotions to being more happier and positive, but i’m also considering buying your book too, just to have in case i want to read it again.

“I aggressively run into things, back up into things, have no depth perception, often forget which buttons and knobs do what, and am easily distracted. But enough about my sex life! Back to my driving skills!”

Let me say, I’ve been watching Tyler’s videos for a while, maybe four years, I can’t exactly pin point it but probably 3-4. I remember tweeting “who is tyler oakley?” because I was in the One Direction fandom or something, and he was all over the fandom news, and he FAVED IT! I laughed, and didn’t realize that I would soon be in love with that adorable cupcake.

But really, Who is Tyler Oakley? Sure, his life mainly consists on the internet, but what do we know about his personal life? Not a whole life, once you think about it. In this Memior Binge, we get a huge look into Matthew’s life, and who he really is, and what made him who he is today!

“Tyler Oakley isn’t my real name.”

binge-is-finally-here-01Since I listened to the book on Audible, I’ll rate the performance… can I give it a 100 out of 100 or no? Okay, 5/5 stars! It’s was such a great book, It felt as though Tyler himself was talking directly to me. I felt so involved that I didn’t want to stop listening to it. You get to see the personal and almost secret side of Matthew Tyler Oakley.

“No person, no matter how important society deems their relationship to you, has the right to denounce you for who you are.”

Not only was this book hilarious, but it was also inspiring and important. Tyler talks about his struggles with an eating disorder, and about his struggle about coming out and how it was hard for his dad to accept it, and the struggles of dating someone who hasn’t accepted themselves. Life isn’t perfect, especially for the adorable and internationally known internet star Tyler Oakley. He lets it all out, literally. I about died when he was talking about driving just to hook up with this guy.. I’m actually cracking up thinking back on it. The audio book is 10 times better than the book, simply because you get to hear Tyler himself, and it’s the best thing ever. His voice expresses everything, and it just connects you with the book in a way you can’t with the book. So, get both!

tumblr_no3obvk01O1tcj833o1_500I also want to thank Tyler for the truth he has shown in this book, he’s such a brave guy putting all this out in the open, and I hope e knows this book is a masterpiece, and it’s definitely helped me with so much. Not only did it cheer me up, but it helped me see things much clearer. Also, can we please appreciate bi-curious people because they do exist, thanks! I feel like that, among other things, is something that stuck out most, his appreciation for the LGBTQ+ community, and how he’s really helping everyone in that community with this book.

“This is why homophobia is a terrible evil: it disguises itself as concern while it is inherently hate.”

I’m not even sure what I was expecting out of this, but it definitely exceeded my expectations by a landslide, I think this made me love Tyler even more! He’s such a unique person, and we all need to enjoy his admirable personality, and just give this memoir a chance. If you barely know anything about Tyler, then i’m pretty sure you would still enjoy the humor and honesty from this book, there’s no doubt you won’t laugh. How can you not appreciate Tyler for speaking out about what he’s dealt with, struggled deeply with, and tried to keep in the past. He’s so real, and he’s so proud of himself that I greatly admire that, and that’s one of the reasons this memoir was so inspiring, because Tyler has inspired me.

Okay, I will admit a lot of weird shit is discussed in this book, in between the deep personal topics, but that’s Tyler, that’s what to expect form him, you just… go along with it.

“Binge on giving, in all senses. Binge on indulging. We’re told every day from an early age that moderation is key. Count your calories, wait a while before you tell someone you love them, and remember that balance is the path to happiness. While all of those are great in theory, does a lesson taught from someone else’s mistakes resonate just as deeply as the ones you learn yourself? When you binge, you find your own boundaries.”

Anyways, If you’re a fan of Tyler Oakley, then why haven’t you read/listened to it yet? You so need to, I recommend the audio if you can, you’ll thank me later. I apologize if this review is so short, I could;t put my thoughts and emotions in any coherent sentences, I just really enjoyed this and I recommend it.
